Former Wall Street trader, Ada Hsieh has left finance to launch Fluency Beauty. This is a plant-based beauty brand that has been in the making for five years.

Fluency Beauty comes from Hsieh’s experimentation with Editorial and Special Effects makeup. Hsieh realized she was allergic to some of these products and set out to create Fluency Beauty to help people feel and look their best while doing good for the environment.

The brand’s debut product is the Multistick, which comes in biodegradable packaging. It also uses 100% plant-derived pigments, invokes regenerative agriculture, and is Leaping Bunny Certified.

Since the Multistick is derived from plants, it includes plant oils and antioxidants that are meant to protect, heal and boost collagen,

The Multistick can be applied to the eyes, lips, and cheeks. Its color comes from beets, radishes, turmeric, potatoes, and spirulina, and is available in three shades.

  • I am Brave: a semi-matte red with blue undertones.
  • I am Powerful: a semi-matte deep brown shade with purple undertones.
  • I am Perfect: a semi-matte blushy, nude shade.
The Multistick is available for preorder and will fully launch later in April.
